Charmaine Charles, Psy.D.

With over twenty-five years of experience in the mental health field. Dr. Charmaine Charles is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has demonstrated her commitment to improving the quality of life for children and families. Dr. Charles began her career working as a program director for a Family Preservation program in Los Angeles County. She was instrumental in developing comprehensive, community-based programs that ensured child safety while strengthening and preserving families. Dr. Charles also has extensive experience working with incarcerated youth and adults in Los Angeles county adult and juvenile justice systems. Dr. Charles served as Chief Psychologist with the Department of Justice, where she designed an innovative community based outreach program for at-risk adolescents. She has held challenging positions at Los Angeles County Mental Health and with the Los Angeles County Psychiatric Mobile Response Team. Dr. Charles designed unique programs as a clinical psychologist for the California State University's Guardian Scholars program, where she assisted former Foster Care youth with completing their college educations. Dr. Charles received her School Psychologist credential at the California State University, Dominguez Hills. She obtained her Master's of Arts and Doctorate Degrees in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in Multi-Cultural/Ethnic Minority Mental Health at the California School of Professional Psychology/Alliant International University. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Business from California State University, Dominguez Hills.

Rosia Ivey, M.A., L.E.P., A.C.A.S.

Rosia Ivey is a Licensed Educational Psychologist, Advanced Certified Autism Specialist and Child Welfare and Attendance Counselor with over 15 years of experience in the field of education. Her experience as a youth ambassador sparked her desire to affect change on a global scale. As a cum laude graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles, Rosia was selected to present her research at Yale and Columbia Universities. Through her work as a child welfare and attendance counselor, Rosia designed individualized and school-wide strategies to motivate at-risk students. The joy of teaching gifted and struggling learners combined with years of experience instructing Resource Specialist and Special Day Class students lead to Rosia's desire to pursue a career in educational psychology. Rosia graduated summa cum laude from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and received the Phi Kappa Phi Award for Academic Excellence. She began her career as a school psychologist in Los Angeles County where she conducted psycho-educational assessments and individual and group counseling for students with special needs.
